Jorge Saffie

Jorge Saffie is the Founder and Principal Advisor of ALMA Project Advisory. He brings more than 25 years of executive experience in the development and execution of complex capital projects in mining, energy and infrastructure. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles on the owner’s side, leading multidisciplinary teams and working with diverse stakeholders to turn opportunities into successful projects.
His experience spans the entire project lifecycle — from early-stage opportunity assessment and concept development, through FEL and investment decision-making, to execution and operational readiness. He has a strong track record in integrating technical, commercial, environmental and social aspects, always with a focus on creating long-term value, optimizing costs and schedules, and managing risk.

Jorge has been directly involved in major capital and sustaining projects in Latin America and internationally, particularly in copper and lithium mining, renewable energy, water infrastructure and ports. His experience includes working with global and local teams, navigating complex regulatory environments, and leading projects with high technical and logistical complexity.
